AerData is Always Looking to the Future

Thursday, 10 January 2013

Today I am talking to our Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator, Sharon Heaton, a very busy lady so I would like to start by thanking her for joining me today.

Sharon, Thank you.

You are very welcome; it is a pleasure to be here.

I understand you are very busy at the moment.

Yes, it is always busy; we have a lot of things going on at the moment.

In that case, shall we get started?

Fire away!

So how are your marketing plans shaping up for 2013?

We have lots of new and exciting projects lined up for 2013 which I am really looking forward to bringing to fruition.

What’s new and exciting for 2013?

Firstly, the introduction of our new blog which aims to provide all customers and interested parties everything they need to know about the company, announcements, developments, updates and releases. It will become an invaluable source of information and I am very much looking forward to seeing the interesting topics that will evoke.

Me too!

Secondly, and hot off the press (so to speak), we will be launching the AerData company newsletter. This will be sent to existing customers and media contacts and be made available for download via the website.

That sounds interesting. It will be a great resource for our readers.

Thirdly, we are investing heavily in the continued development of our existing products with many upgrades planned throughout the year. For instance, AtlasData, AerData’s new online tool to track the world’s aircraft fleet and value, now with the addition of Airfax aircraft market availability, is fast becoming the online database of choice for Airlines, Lessors, Banks etc. But we are not stopping there! In 2013 we are going to further enhance the current services, including development of more advanced forecasting and trend analysis components, plus increase the degree of asset information available.

Investment and development is a big part of the AerData ethos then?

Yes, of course. It is through continued development that we can ensure that AtlasData stays ahead of the market.

It’s a competitive industry, how are we going to ensure that AerData stays on top?

I can sum this up easily in three words: Innovative, pioneering, revolutionary

So where will AerData be exhibiting in 2013?

First up, AerData are sponsoring the Airline Economics Growth Frontiers Conference in Dublin in January. This is a leading aviation conference for senior airline staff and start-up entrepreneurs with the sole aim of finding out how finance, leasing and associated service companies can help these growth frontier airlines expand. Mark, Jaap, Godfrey and Simone will be on hand to answer any questions and are looking forward to making new relationships and meeting old friends.

In February, AerData are attending the UBM Aviation Aero-Engines USA. Jaap will be attending the conference in Miami.

Next, we will be making a regular appearance at the ISTAT Americas Conference in Orlando, Florida. Mark, Paul, Jaap, Godfrey and Benno will be attending the conference in March.

We are already planning for the second half and have acquired a premier spot at the Aviation Week MRO Europe in September. AerData will return with our exciting new exhibition stand but I don’t think I will need to pack my sunglasses for that one as it’s at Excel, London.

Keep checking the website for regular updates.

Is there anything you are particularly looking forward to in 2013?

I am particularly excited because we are planning a facelift for the website, and I for one can’t wait to see it emerge!

How do you think 2013 will compare against 2012?

I don’t want to give too much away, but we have lots of surprises in store so check the website regularly if you don’t want to miss out. 2013 promises to be the best year yet for AerData!

Thank you Sharon, I won’t monopolize any more of your time.

If you have any further questions you would like answered, or are interested in more information regarding anything mentioned here, please leave a comment and we will get back to you.
